Preview Instances & Updates

Recently we shared with you the introduction of a new Instance type: Nitro

Today, we're sharing another new instance type called Preview.

Preview instances are early versions of an instance type. This usually means they consist of certain deployment/modification features that the paid & nitro instances do not have. Since these instances are experimental and can (and most probably will) have issues, these instances are completely free.

The only catch? They're extremely limited in stock—like a first-in-best-dress situation. There may be times where your preview instance is manually modified, deleted, updated etc by the Baud team. While the instance is free, we get to use the deployment for testing purposes, and you get to use it for whatever you'd like.

Preview Instances can be deleted at any time. We highly recommend these instances are not used for high-usage applications. Preview instances may see periodic removals to make the available stock diverse.

While Preview instances are free, a billing method will still be required to create them.

Optional Environmental Configurations

When deploying an instance of ModMail, the initial setup included the optional configuration of setting a server ID for staff only. Previously, users weren't able to update this past the first initial deployment. All optional configurations which were included in the initial setup will now be available for post-setup configurations.

You can apply the changes once you update the field and press "Save & Redeploy".
